2006 Texas State Limited
After shooting this match for the first time last year, I realized it's a match to put on the calendar for years to come. Artie and Jimmy Mitchell of Bulletworks along with all the staff and match sponsors does a great job in putting on a match worth travelling 12 hours to.. And it shows, shooters from all over the country show up year after year. Twelve stages and 300+ rounds with good props and fun challenges, including an obscene 85 yard standards which nobody hit much at. Prize table is good with each class winners getting a fitted frame/slide and second finisher a frame.

Stage 12 - Standards "Texas Style"
35 yards; 3 shot freestyle, reload, 3 shot strong hand60 yards; 3 shot freestyle, reload, 3 shot freestyle
85 yards; 6 shots freestyle
Ron and I tied for first on this stage with
59 out of 90 points. My 35 yard target was sweet,
the 60 acceptable, but the 85 looked like a
shotgun pattern.. ;-)

Stage 1 - Dead Weight
"The Great Dane" Kim Schiolden, originally
from Denmark.
One of my few fellow Scandinavian friends
who's smart enough to realize
it's just better to live over here...

Now he is and he's getting good fast.

Stage 3 - Home port advantage
Possibly my best limited stage of all time..
Ron has it on video and hopefully I'll get
a copy soon.
